The sheer number of families coming in has made aid distribution extremely difficult using the current paradigm.  There is an immediate need to establish centers for aid where all services can be in one place and the displaced Palestinians can quickly and efficiently come for services.  This aid covers not only basic emergency aid, clothing, and housing assistance but also gives them access to our local doctors group and mental health professionals teams in order to free schedule appointments and recieve treatment.  We will also be providing group activities for mental health including support groups, art therapy classes for children and job skills training initiatives.  We are launching our first center in central Cairo but will be expanding to other areas around Egypt where there are large pockets of people in need.

We have been interviewing local individuals to lead this effort and have identified 2 Palestinain men who are highly experienced and trained in humanitarian work to lead the efforts on the ground in Cairo.  We have also identified an Egyptian woman with many international connections to lead our new NGO worldwide.  We remain committed to selecting and hiring local individuals wherever we work.
